This optional workshop is held the day before the main conference and requires separate registration. This Level 1 course offers a well-rounded introduction to wine, focusing on wine tasting technique, major wines of the world, and food and wine pairing principles. Space for this workshop is limited. We kindly ask that they limit registration to no more than two people per business entity.
You must be at least 21 years of age by the time of your course start date. The course fee includes all wines to be tasted, study materials, administration and exam fees.

This interactive workshop introduces farm and food businesses to the Cultivating Capital Readiness toolkit, a practical resource designed to help businesses prepare for loans, grants, investment, and other growth opportunities.
The session will provide an overview of the full toolkit and focus on Fast Track 1: Finding Clarity and Alignment Before Making Decisions.
Participants will explore what it means to be capital ready, assess their current readiness, strengthen their understanding of how their business creates value, and identify areas to address before pursuing outside funding.
Participants will leave with practical next steps and access to the complete Cultivating Capital Readiness toolkit, including worksheets, templates, examples, and financial tools they can continue using after the workshop.
